| The Pastels Collection |
These
studio pastels have been a great source of enjoyment over many years.
They provide a chance for John to wave his arms about, and really feel
like an artist. On a more serious note, they provide a learning process
between artist and model, it is in these pastels that John learns both
how the model moves and the shapes that she makes, plus the subtle nuances
of features and expressions. They are usually a mixture of charcoal and
pastel on ingres or cover paper and are quite large when mounted and framed. |
